The Union Lady Yellowjackets swept a doubleheader from Leake Central in their only action last week, winning 14-0 and 13-3.
Union’s only schedule game this week is at Philadelphia on Tuesday. They will play a doubleheader against Forest on Monday, Oct. 1
Union 14, Leake Central 0
Union scored 11 runs in the first inning and took a run-rule victory over Leake Central on Tuesday.
After going up 11-0, Union scored two in the second and one in the third.
Union had six hits and took advantage of 10 hits and five errors in the game.
TySia Jackson was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and two RBIs. McKenlee McDaniel had a double and scored two runs and drove in two. Kenlee Pullin scored two runs and had three RBIs while Debbie Hunter walked twice and drove in two runs. Kaylee Holley also had two RBIs while Elana Harmon walked twice and scored twice.
Ansley Rigby also scored two runs. Rigby gave up three hits in two innings and struck out two.
Union 13, Leake Central 3
The Lady Yellowjackets scored five runs in the second and fifth innings and three in the fourth. Leake scored two in the second and one in the third.
Union had 10 hits in the game but no multiple hitters. Kaydon Lee had a double and drove in three runs while Faith Stevens was credited with three RBIs. Ansley Rigby walked twice and scored three runs while Kenlee Pullin scored twice. Dallas Brown, Debbie Hunter, Anna Grace Blount and Kaylee Holley each had singles and drove in a run.
Riby pitched five innings and scattered seven hits and gave up three runs while striking out four.
