After a 15-12 loss to Union on Tuesday, Lake had to win by four runs or more on Thursday to win the Division 4-2A championship.
With Brady McGee on the mound, the Hornets limited Union to two hits and took a 5-0 win over the Yellowjackets to claim the 4-2A crown.
Lake moves to 15-6 on the season and will host Noxapater on Monday night for senior night before hosting a first-round playoff game on Friday.
Union moves to 12-7 on the year and will host Morton on Tuesday for senior night before they host a first-round playoff game on Friday as well.

The Hornets got a dominating pitching performance from Brady McGee to claim in the Division 4-2A championship from the Jackson on Thursday night.
The game was scoreless for the first four innings while Lake scored two in the fifth and three in the sixth.
Lake outhit Union 6-2 in the contest, led by Noah Essary who was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs while Nathon Lott was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs. Seth Harrison singled and drove in a run while McGee walked twice and scored a run. Logan Palmer singled and scored a run as well while Mickey Parker also scored a run.
J.T. Vance and Rope Lovern had Union’s only hits with doubles.
McGee pitched all seven innings and gave up two hits and two walks while striking out 11.
Trevor Patchin started on the mound for Union and pitched six inning and gave up five runs on six hits and four walks. Henry Thornton pitched the last inning for Union.
Union 15, Lake 12
Union scored 12 runs in the last three innings to take a three-run win over the Hornets on Tuesday.
The score was tied 3-3 after three innings before Lake scored one in the fourth to go up 4-3. Union then scored four in the fifth, six in the sixth and two in the seventh. Lake scored two in the fifth and three in the sixth and seventh.
Union outhit Lake 10-7 in the contest, led by Kolton Cockerham who was 4-for-4 with a double and four runs scored. Trevor Patchin was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Jaylon Buckley and Rope Lovern each had a double and drove in four runs apiece. Kobe Casey scored four runs while J.T. Vance had a double and scored three runs.
Brady McGee was 3-for-4 with a double, triple and three runs scored for Lake while Noah Essary scored two runs and had two RBIs. Easton Tune singled and had two RBIs while Jalen Gray scored two runs.
Buckley started for the Yellowjackets on the mound and pitched five innings, giving up six runs, only two earned on three hits and two walks while striking out 10. Vance pitched the last two innings and gave up six runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four.
Essary started on the mound for Lake and pitched 5 1/3 innings and gave up 10 runs on seven hits and three walks. Seth Harrison, Logan Palmer and Nathon Lott combined to pitch the last 1 2/3 inning for Lake.
