The Union baseball team got in two games during the spring break and split a pair of games.
The Jackets opened the week with an 11-5 win over Sebastopol on Tuesday and then dropped a 9-0 decision to Quitman on Friday.
“We got rained out Monday,” Union coach Dustin Hamrick said. “That makes the fifth game we’ve lost due to weather. We did a pretty good job Tuesday in the Sebastopol game, but did not do what we needed to do Friday against Quitman. Soon enough, we’re going to put some complete games together and it'll be fun to watch. Big games this week as we open district play so it’s time to roll.”
Union (4-4) will return to action this week as they take on Scott Central in Division 4-2A play. They traveled to Scott on Tuesday and will host the Rebels on Friday. The Yellowjackets will host Choctaw Central on Saturday in a 7 p.m. contest.
