In Galatians 2:1-10, Paul is writing to churches who have been subjected to false teaching by those requiring Gentiles to be circumcised and to keep the law of Moses in order to be saved. So, Paul recounts a time when he contended for the gospel concerning the same issue on a trip to Jerusalem with Barnabas and Titus.
