Baseball: Generals Dominate with Back-to-Back Blowout Victories

The Newton County Academy baseball team won added two blowout wins to their resume last week by sweeping Laurel Christian in district play.

The Generals beat Laurel Christian 13-0 on Tuesday and 18-2 on Thursday to finish out the week.

After losing four straight games, the Union Lady Yellowjackets desperately needed something good to happen.

What Union got was a pair of strong pitching performances from Alanee Wheeler as she gave up just six hits in two games as the Lady Yellowjackets beat Eupora 6-1on Tuesday and 6-0 on Thursday.
