Baseball: NCA Scores Big Wins

The Newton County Academy baseball team got in three games last week.

The Generals split in a key district series with Sylva Bay, falling 4-1 on Tuesday before bouncing back and beating the Saints 6-2 on Thursday.

NCA finished off the week with a 14-1 win over Russell Christian on Saturday.

Baseball: Bobcats Triumph Twice in 4-2A, Falter Against Scott Central

The Sebastopol Bobcats won two out of three games this week, including a pair of division 4-2A games.

Sebastopol swept Philadelphia in 4-2A play, winning 15-2 Tuesday and 14-4 on Thursday. They finished the week with a 10-2 loss to Scott Central.

Baseball: Lake Hornets Walk-off Loss, Weather Disruption, and a Win

The Lake baseball team split a pair of games last week.

The Hornets lost 3-2 in a walk-off loss to Enterprise on Tuesday and was losing 6-0 on Friday when that game was called because of weather.

Lake then bounced back on Saturday and beat Union 14-4.

Softball: Union Softball Struggles, Drops Three Straight in Tough Week

It was a rough week for the Union softball team, dropping all three games.

Union lost two to Clarkdale in non-division action, falling 2-1 on Tuesday and 8-4 on Thursday. Union then lost 8-1 to Lake on Saturday.
