Lake football coach Tate Hanna was worried about Morton’s prolific passing attack heading into last week’s non-district contest.

He was right to be concerned.

The Panthers threw for 345 yards and four touchdowns to take a 34-14 win over the Hornets on Friday.

MAIS Football: Generals Cruise Past Bulldogs, Building Momentum for the Playoffs

After a loss to Humphreys Academy, the Newton County Academy Generals have gotten their act together.

The Generals scored 41 unanswered points and cruised to a 41-12 win over Christian Collegiate on Friday night in Gulfport.

NCA improves to 8-2 on the season and will host Park Place on Friday night for Senior night.
