The Newton Theatre Company held their annual “Christmas at The Roxy” on Sunday afternoon, at The Roxy Theatre in Downtown Newton, where seven talented acts joyously spread holiday cheer while helping to raise canned food items to be donated to the Hickory Food Pantry. By the conclusion of the show, the Christmas tree in the lobby of The Roxy was surrounded by a mound of canned food donations.
Performers for the Christmas food pantry fundraiser included Jean Claire Bounds, Margie Curry, the Antioch Christian Church Praise Team, Kristie Harris, the Newton Elementary School Choir, Pierce Allen Gilbert, and Amanda Blackburn.
