The Union basketball teams had another successful week on the basketball courts as they won seven of the eight games they played.
The Lady Yellowjackets won all four games they played as they improved to 11-2 on the season while the Yellowjackets won three of their four contests to improve to 11-1 on the season.
Union returns to action this week with a trio of games as they will travel to Enterprise on Tuesday and host Newton County on Thursday. They will finish out their pre-Christmas schedule on Friday as they host Nanih Waiya.
Nanih Waiya boys 44,
Union 40
The Warriors staged a second-half comeback to take a four-point win over the Yellowjackets.
Union led 11-7 at the end of the first and 24-17 at the half. Nanih Waiya battled back and outscored Union 16-11 in the third and 16-13 in the fourth to take the win.
J.T. Vance led Union with 19 points while Jamarcus Jones had 12 points.

The Lady Yellowjackets dominated the action as they took a 24-point win over the Lady Warriors.
Union jumped out to a 15-4 lead in the first period and led 25-9 at the half. Union continued to expand its lead in the second half, outscoring Nanih Waiya 11-7 in the third and 7-3 in the fourth.
Kamyia Russell and Keirra Russell each had 13 points apiece.

West Lauderdale 32
The Lady Yellowjackets opened up a big lead in the first half and held on to take the win over the Lady Knights.
Union pulled out to a 13-7 lead in the first period and outscored West 13-8 in the second to lead 26-15 at the half. West battled back in the second half, outscoring Union 7-4 in the third and 10-8 in the fourth.
Union used a balanced scoring attack to grab the win as Kaliyah Temple led the Lady Yellowjackets with nine points. Kamyia Russell and Keirra Russell each had eight points apiece while Taniqua Hunter added six points.

West Lauderdale 33
The Yellowjackets got double-digit scoring from Jamarcus Jones and J.T. Vance and took a 13-point win over the Knights.
Union led 11-7 at the end of the first and 23-17 at the half. West cut the lead to 31-26 going into the fourth where the Yellowjackets pulled away by outscoring the Knights 14-7.
J.T. Vance led Union with 19 points while Jamarcus Jones had 10 points and Dorian Hunter added nine.
Union girls 44, Noxapater 9
The Lady Yellowjackets dominated from the beginning and took a 35-point win over Lady Tigers.
Union jumped out to a 15-6 lead in the first period and outscored Noxapater 10-0 in the second to lead 25-6 at the half. Union blanked Noxapater again in the third, outscoring the Lady Tigers 11-0 to lead 36-6 going to the fourth.
Keirra Russell led Union with 15 points while Trinity Lambert added 10 points. Kamyia Russell added eight points.
Union boys 51, Noxapater 39
The Yellowjackets jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 12-point win on Saturday.
Union led 21-10 at the end of the first and 28-16 at the half. Each team scored 23 point in the second half as Union took the win.
J.T. Vance led Union with 21 points while Jamarcus Jones had 12 points. Kolton Cockerham added seven points.
