Union got the basketball season off to a good start last week as both teams picked up a pair of wins.
The Lady Yellowjackets beat Enterprise 53-28 and Pelahatchie 30-23 while the Union boys beat Enterprise 52-38 and Pelahatchie 49-42.
Union will return to action on Tuesday as they travel to Stringer on Monday and will host Pisgah on Thursday.
Union girls 53, Enterprise 28
The Lady Yellowjackets outscored Enterprise in every period as they took a 25-point win.
Keirra Russell led Union with 13 points while Trinity Lambert had 11 points. Kamyia Russell had nine points while Kaliyah Temple had eight and Keshona Smoot added six points.
Union boys 52, Enterprise 38
The Yellowjackets built a first-half lead and took a 14-point win in their season opener on Tuesday.
Union led 13-7 at the end of the first and outscored the Bulldogs 12-9 in the second to lead 25-16 at the half. After each team scored 11 points in the third, Union outscored Enterprise 16-11 in the fourth for the final margin.
Dorrian Hunter led Union with 14 points while J.T. Vance had 12 points.
Union girls 30, Pelahatchie 23
The Lady Yellowjackets pulled away in the middle two periods to take a hard-fought seven-point win over the Lady Chiefs on Thursday.
Pelahatchie led 5-4 at the end of the first before Union took a 14-10 lead at the half. Union then outscored Enterprise 10-3 in the third to lead 24-13 going into the fourth.
Kamyia Russell led Union with nine points while Kaliyah Temple had seven points.
Union boys 49, Pelahatchie 42
The Yellowjackets outscored the Chiefs in each of the first three periods and held on to take the win.
Union led 11-8 at the end of the first and 19-11 at the half. Union outscored Pelahatchie 13-12 in the third to lead 32-23. Pelahatchie outscored Union 19-17 in the fourth for the final margin.
J.T. Vance led Union with 21 points while Marcus Jones added 13 points. Dorrian Hunter had eight points while Jada Russell had five points.
