Lady Yellowjackets Beat Calhoun City for Seventh Straight Victory

The Union Lady Yellowjackets continued their strong play as they won their seventh straight game and 13th out of 14 with a two-game sweep of Calhoun City on Thursday.

Union won 12-2 in the first game and 12-1 in the second contest to sweep the series.

Union Softball Advances, Baseball Out, Tennis Reaches Semis

The Union softball team advanced in the Class 2A state tournament while the Yellowjacket baseball team split its first two games against Hamilton.

The Lady Yellowjackets took two wins over Walnut with a 9-2 win on Thursday and a 10-6 win on Saturday to sweep the series.

Union Sweeps Sebastopol in Softball, Claims Division Title

Both the Union softball and baseball teams enjoyed big weeks against rival Sebastopol.

The Union softball team improved to 15-10 on the season with a pair of wins over Sebastopol to claim the Division 4-2A championship last week, winning 2-1 on Tuesday and 7-1 on Thursday.

Union Softball Wins Three as Baseball Splits Division Series

The Union softball team won three out of four games last week as they swept a division doubleheader from Philadelphia.

Union hammered Philadelphia 17-1 and 18-0 on Tuesday but split a doubleheader on Saturday, beating Northeast Lauderdale 13-12 while falling 4-3 to Ethel.
