A man who lives on Newton Street in Union is facing multiple counts of drug trafficking after Union Police caught him with multiple controlled substances at his home.
Christopher V. Evans of Newton Street was arrested May 2 and charged with three counts of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession. His bond was set at $20,000, but because he is being held for drug court since he has a prior arrest for drug charges.
Union K-9 officer Steve Robinson said they found the suspect in possession of 220 grams of high-grade marijuana, 30.8 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 3.5 grams of cocaine and another undetermined substance that was sent to the lab for testing to see if it was another drug.
“We had been investigating the residence for a while,” Robinson said.
Assisting the Union Police Department were the Eighth Circuit Drug Court and the Mississippi Wildlife Game and Fisheries.
