The man charged with the shooting of a Lawrence woman is being held in the Newton County Jail on $30,000 bond.
Maurice Osborne Sr. was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault on Aug. 21. According to Newton County Justice Court records, his bond was originally set at $50,000, but it had been reduced to $30,000 by Friday.
The victim, Latrina Patrick received a gunshot to the “temple” of her forehead, according to a previous telephone interview with Sheriff Jackie Knight. She is still currently being treated at University Medical Center in Jackson.
Her father, Steve Patrick, said on Friday that Latrina was still in the hospital in intensive care. Her condition is listed as stable.
Knight said the victim has a 5-year-old child who was not injured in the incident.
Aggravated domestic assault is a felony charge.
