Rules set for return to sports this fall

The Mississippi High School Activities Association recently released a list of guidelines for return to play for high school athletics this fall.
Most of the guidelines include social distancing aspects there are some major changes that fans will notice this upcoming football season.

Child killed in Hwy. 492 wreck

Students return to school

Union students Stormie Adell and Jesse Wilcher are ready for 9th and 6th grade last Wednesday. Union students went back to school on a modified schedule Wednesday and Thursday while Newton County students returned last Monday, Aug. 3. Newton Municipal Schools returned to school on Monday, Aug. 10, as students received virtual instruction.
