Lady Generals earn split with shutout win

The Newton County Academy Lady Generals played four games last week and ended the week with a shutout win.
The Lady Generals beat St. Aloysius 6-0 on Saturday after tying Tallulah 3-3 and falling 1-0 to Briarfield Academy. NCA also lost 13-6 to Leake earlier in the week.

New truck arrives at Decatur Fire Department

The Town of Decatur and members of the Decatur Volunteer Fire Department received their new fire truck today from Sunbelt Fire.
The new custom fire truck replaces an old commercial fire truck in its fleet. Mayor David Marshall said the truck should be able to serve the needs of Decatur for the next 30 years.
