Both Newton County Academy basketball teams advanced out the district tournament last week.
The Lady Generals finished the tournament beating Discovery Christian 40-23 in the consolation match after losing 53-42 to Canton.
The NCA boys lost both matches, falling 50-43 to Discovery and 67-41 to Benton.
