Bobcats Extend Win Streak

The Sebastopol baseball team moved its win streak to seven straight games this past week with three wins.

The Bobcats beat Noxapater 8-7 on Monday, Richland 12-2 on Tuesday and 6-3 on Choctaw Central.

It was a busy spring break week for the Newton County softball and baseball teams.

The Newton County baseball team lost two games last week, falling 9-8 to Taylorsville and 6-0 to Pisgah.

Ironic, that a guy who hasn’t cut his hair since his navy days loves to prune shrubs. Like shaving my neck, trimming the moustache, and plucking errant eyebrows, keeping the fig compact and easy-to-harvest and the boxwood a tight green gumdrop, sometimes it’s gotta be done.

Mr. Dennis James Evans (L.K.) was born March 29, 1957, to the late Robert L. Evans, Sr. and Bobbie Jean Evans. He is the sixth of ten children born into a large close-knit family.

Dennis was folded into the arms of his Heavenly Father on March 3, 2025, at his home in Houston, Texas.
