Union Basketball: Yellowjackets Fall to Pisgah and St. Andrews

The Union basketball teams continued to struggle in district play as both squads lost a pair of games last week.

The Union girls lost 46-32 to St. Andrews and 62-40 to Pisgah while the Union boys lost 52-37 to Pisgah and 64-13 to St. Andrews.

Sebastopol Basketball: Bobcat Boys, Girls Secure Wins Against Noxapater

After tough losses to McAdams on Tuesday night, the Sebastopol basketball teams bounced back with wins over Noxapater on Friday.

The Lady Bobcats were unable to hold on to an early lead and lost 53-51 to McAdams but bounced back and took a 56-41 win on Friday night.

Newton County Basketball: Cougars Split District Games

The Newton County basketball teams split a pair of district games last week.

The Lady Cougars hammered rival West Lauderdale 56-35 but lost 41-35 to Northeast Lauderdale.

The Cougars beat Northeast 62-56 while lost 72-53 to West.

Newton Basketball: Tigers Swat Hornets on the Road

Newton made the short trip to Lake on Friday night for a day district game.

Both Newton teams came away victorious as the Lady Tigers got 41-points from Jamiya Jones in a 51-35 win.

The Tigers got another big night from Kaden Robinson and took a 69-63 win.
