The Newton County Academy Lady Generals picked up two wins last week in convincing fashion.

The Lady Generals beat the Meridian Lady Flyers 60-36 on Tuesday and then beat Russell Christian 50-32 on Thursday.

Class 2A Football Playoffs: Tigers end Bobcats Season

In the end, the defending Class 2A state champions were too much for the Class 2A Mr. Football.

Charleston used a stingy defense to build a big lead and took a 56-20 win over Sebastopol in the second round of the Class 2A playoffs.

Sebastopol ends the season with an 8-4 record.
