Bobcats add two wins, girls add one

The Sebastopol boys won two out of three games this past week and picked up a pair of district contest.

The Bobcats beat French Camp 55-40 and Ethel 52-49 before falling 72-41 to Class 4A Newton County.

The Lady Bobcats lost two of three as they beat French Camp 49-17 but fell 46-45 to Ethel and 54-32 to Sebastopol.

Kemper edges Lake girls in OT

The Lake girls saw their good fortune come to an end last week on the road.

After Lake beat Philadelphia 55-34 on Tuesday, the Lady Hornets fell 60-56 to Kemper County in overtime.

The Lake boys also dropped a pair of contests, falling 42-41 to Philadelphia on Tuesday before falling 54-39 to Kemper County on Friday.

Tiger teams add wins

The Newton basketball teams each managed to pick up a win this week.

The Lady Tigers picked up a big 48-30 win over Philadelphia in division play while falling 59-27 to Neshoba Central.

The Tigers took a 63-59 win over Quitman while dropping a 43-42 decision to Philadelphia and a 70-52 contest to Grace Baptist of Ocean Springs.
