Basketball: Bobcats Triumph Over Pisgah, French Camp

The Sebastopol Bobcats had a good week on the hardwoods, taking home two wins.

The Bobcats beat Pisgah 47-42 and then took a 54-44 win over French Camp.

The Lady Bobcats split their two games, falling 58-48 to Pisgah while taking a 59-36 win over French Camp.

Basketball: Generals Split Games Against Prentiss, Lamar Christian

Both Newton County Academy teams split a pair of games on the hardwoods last week.

NCA swept a pair of games from Prentiss Christian as the girls won 55-11 and the boys took a 54-46 win.

Then on Friday, NCA got swept by Lamar Christian as the girls lost 39-20 while the boys fell 66-29.

Basketball: Tigers Secure Wins Over Forest, West Jones, Fall to Northeast

The Newton Tigers had a competitive week on the basketball courts.

The Tigers opened the week with a 53-50 overtime loss to Northeast Lauderdale but bounced back with a 53-46 win over Forest on Friday. The Tigers then beat West Jones 46-45 on Saturday at the Rodney Hood Classic in Meridian.
