Betty M. McNair, 84, died July 8, 2017, after a lengthy illness. Born in Decatur on Sept. 28, 1932, Mrs. McNair was a Newton County native who had lived in Jackson for 37 years before moving to Ridgeland. She graduated from Stratton High School in Union and East Central Community College in Decatur.
