Loose Caboose Festival 2023: Celebrating good times

The 20th Annual Loose Caboose Festival drew thousands to downtown Newton on Saturday, where they enjoyed nice weather and plenty of food, entertainment, and shopping. More than 140 vendors were registered for the festival, which covered Main Street, Church Street, Decatur Street and Fourth Avenue.

The Union powerlifting team can add another state championship to the already impressive list.

The Yellowjackets captured the Class 3A title as they beat out Kossuth and Southeast Lauderdale on Saturday at the state meet.

Patients seek care at field hospital in Rolling Fork after tornado
