SOFTBALL: Lady Hornets win three of four games in busy week

After a pair of blowout wins against Scott Central to open division play, the Lady Lake Hornets had a pair of close contests.

After taking a 16-0 and 17-0 win over Scott Central, Lake beat Petal 3-1 and lost to Vancleave 3-1 in the West Harrison Tournament on Saturday.

BASEBALL: Hornets pick up two more wins

The Lake Hornets stayed unbeaten as they picked up a pair of wins last week.

Lake opened up the week with a 19-5 win over Noxapater and then finished with an 11-6 win over Morton on Friday.

BASEBALL: Hornets sweep three wins for big week

The Lake Hornets picked up three more wins on the baseball diamond last week.

After no-hitting Sebastopol on Friday night, the Hornets mashed Pelahatchie on Saturday, sweeping the Chiefs 17-6 and 16-0.

Lake 7, Sebastopol 0

The Hornets didn’t allow a hit as Brady McGee struck out 17 on Friday night.
