While the winter weather might have been a burden for a lot of Newton County, it could have been a blessing for the Newton County Academy basketball teams.
Both teams enjoyed the time off and both NCA coaches said the week off was an unexpected blessing.
NCA girls coach Winona Baysinger was especially thankful for the week off.
