The Newton County baseball team won two out of three games this past week.
The Cougars split a pair of division 5-4A games, falling 11-0 to Mendenhall on Monday before rebounding and beating the Tigers 10-9 on a walkout hit from Braxton May on Friday night. County then beat Scott Central 10-8 on Saturday.
