The Generals lost a tough 4-3 game to Kemper Academy on Tuesday but responded with a 21-1 blowout win over Hebron Christian on Thursday.

SOFTBALL: Union Yellowjackets get win over Noxapater, falls to 5A power Neshoba

Union saw both sides of the softball spectrum last week.

The Lady Yellowjackets beat Noxapater 19-2 on Tuesday and then lost a pair of game to Class 5A powers Neshoba Central 8-2 and Wayne County 11-2.

SOFTBALL: Newton County continues in regular season

The Newton County Cougars picked up another sweep in division play this week.

The Cougars swept Quitman, beating the Panthers 15-0 on Tuesday and 10-3 on Thursday. The Cougars finished the week with a 13-4 loss to West Lauderdale on Saturday.

SOFTBALL: Neshoba ends Lady Hornets’ streak

Lake had its 11-game winning streak come to an end last week with a shutout loss to Neshoba Central.

The Lady Hornets swept a pair of games from Choctaw Central, winning 10-8 and 9-3 on Monday. The Lady Hornets then lost 6-0 to Neshoba Central on Thursday.
